Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026. These terms are the agreement between you and us when you use goodstandingcourses.com and buy or take one of our courses. They also serve as our rules for services provided electronically under Polish law. Please read them before you buy. Our Privacy Policy, Refund Guarantee and Disclaimer are part of these terms.
The short version
- You are buying access to a self-paced online educational course. It is not therapy, counseling or a clinical evaluation.
- Our courses are court-accepted in most jurisdictions, but only your court or agency decides whether to accept your certificate. Ask them before you buy. If they do not accept it, our Refund Guarantee gives you 100% of the course fee back.
- To earn a certificate you must log the required hours of active study time (our server counts it), complete every lesson and pass the final test.
- One person per account. Letting someone else take the course for you, or faking study time, means no certificate and no refund.
- Prices are in US dollars and paid through Stripe.
1. Who we are
The course provider and seller is Dzmitry Pliachko, a sole proprietor registered in the Polish business register (CEIDG), doing business as Good Standing Courses, NIP PL8992909337, REGON 520256406, ul. Stanisława Drabika 63/19, 52-131 Wrocław, Poland. "We", "us" and "our" mean this business. "You" means the person who buys or takes a course.
Contact: support@goodstandingcourses.com. We reply within 24 hours, Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. ET.
We are not a court, a government agency or a law firm, and we are not affiliated with any court, probation department or government body.
2. Who can use our courses
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You must take the course yourself, under your own full legal name. Our courses are designed for students in the United States and are taught in English.
3. What you are buying
When you buy a course, you get:
- Access to a self-paced online educational course with the number of hours you chose (4, 8, 12 or 16), in Anger Management or Impulse Control and Decision Making, or both in a bundle.
- An enrollment letter, available immediately after payment, confirming that you enrolled.
- A certificate of completion, once you meet the completion requirements in section 5.
- A verification page where the people you give your certificate or enrollment letter to can confirm it is genuine.
- A progress report and a time log you can download and share.
Optional add-ons, where offered at checkout, are described there. A paper certificate by mail is printed and mailed to a US address after you finish the course.
Educational course, not therapy. Our courses teach skills based on public, research-based sources. They do not provide treatment, counseling, diagnosis or a clinical evaluation, and taking a course does not create a therapist–client relationship with anyone. If you need help with your mental health, please see a licensed professional. See our Disclaimer.
Not for certified programs. Our courses are not Batterer Intervention Programs, domestic violence programs, DUI/DWI programs, Texas MIP/AEPM courses, or any other program that a court requires to come from a state-certified list. If your order names one of those, our course will not satisfy it.
Access period. Your access to the course does not expire while we offer the course. You can study at your own pace. After you finish, you can keep downloading your documents from your account.
4. Court and agency acceptance
Our courses are court-accepted in most jurisdictions. Acceptance is decided only by the court, judge, probation officer, attorney, employer or other agency that asked you to take a course. We have no control over that decision, and we do not claim that any court or state has approved, certified or endorsed our courses.
Before you buy, you are responsible for checking what your court or agency requires: the type of course, the number of hours, whether an online course is allowed, and any deadline. The easiest way is to show them the course name, the hours and our website, or our page for probation officers. At checkout you confirm that you understand the final decision belongs to your court or agency.
If your court or agency does not accept your certificate, our Refund Guarantee applies (section 9).
5. Study time and completion requirements
Courts and agencies care about real hours. Our timer is built to count them honestly, and these rules apply to every student.
How study time is counted
- Our server counts your time, using its own clock. The time shown on your device is a preview; the time confirmed by our server is what counts.
- Only active time counts. Time is counted while the course page is open and visible and you are actively studying: scrolling, clicking, typing, or listening to audio or watching video. After about 5 minutes without activity while reading (longer while audio or video plays), the timer pauses and asks "Are you still here?" Answer to continue.
- One tab at a time. Time is counted in one browser tab at a time across your whole account, even if you are enrolled in two courses.
- Lesson minimum and maximum. Each lesson has a minimum amount of study time before it counts as complete, and a maximum amount of time that can be credited to it, so the hours are spread across the whole course. If you finish reading early, the lesson offers extra practice material, and time spent on it counts.
- Lost connection. If your internet connection drops, your device keeps recording your activity and syncs it when you reconnect. We credit up to 15 minutes per interruption and up to 60 minutes of offline time per day. Synced time is marked as such in your time log.
- Video and audio count in real time. Skipping ahead or playing faster does not add time.
What you need for a certificate
- Log at least the number of hours you bought, as counted by our server.
- Complete every lesson in order, including its minimum time and exercises.
- Pass each lesson quiz with at least 80%. You can retake lesson quizzes.
- Pass the final test. It unlocks once your hours are complete. The passing score is shown before you start (70% for 4-hour courses, 75% for longer courses).
Your journal and exercise answers are not graded and stay on your device. We only record that you completed them.
Time log and corrections
You can see your credited time and a day-by-day log in your account at any time. If you believe time was not counted correctly, email support within 30 days. A person will review the log. Any correction we make is recorded with its reason and appears in your time log and progress report.
6. Certificates, letters and verification
Your name. Your documents show the full legal name you entered at checkout. Enter it exactly as it appears on your court or agency paperwork. You can correct your name once for free before or after your certificate is issued; further corrections require proof, by email.
What your certificate shows. Your name, the course title, hours, start and completion dates, final test score, a certificate ID, a security fingerprint and a QR code. It does not include your case number, court or date of birth. Your documents have optional fields for those details, which you fill in yourself, in your browser. We never receive them.
Verification. Anyone who has your certificate ID or enrollment ID and your last name can confirm the record on our verification page. We keep certificate records available for verification for 5 years from the date of issue. The verification page, not the paper or PDF, is the authoritative record. What a verifier sees is listed in our Privacy Policy.
Replacement and revocation. When we correct or reissue a certificate, the old ID shows as replaced and points to the new one. We revoke a certificate, and the verification page shows it as revoked, if:
- the course fee is refunded (including under our Refund Guarantee);
- you dispute the payment with your bank (chargeback) and the dispute is not resolved in our favor;
- we find that the course was completed by someone else, that study time was faked, or that the certificate was altered; or
- you ask us to revoke it.
Changing a certificate or presenting a false one may be a crime. We will confirm the true record to any court or agency that asks.
7. Your account
We create your account automatically with the email address you use at checkout. You sign in with a one-time link or code we email you; there is no password. Keep access to your email account secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in. You are responsible for activity in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed it.
Technical requirements. You need an internet connection, an up-to-date web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox) with JavaScript and cookies enabled, and an email address you can read. A computer, tablet or phone will work. To fill in and save documents you need to be able to download PDF files.
You may stop using the service at any time. To close your account and delete your data, see our Privacy Policy.
8. Rules of conduct
You agree not to:
- share your account, or let anyone else study, take quizzes or take the final test for you;
- take a course for another person or under a name that is not your own legal name;
- use any tool, script, bot, "mouse jiggler", second device or other trick to make the timer count time you did not spend studying, or otherwise interfere with the timer;
- copy, record, publish, resell or share course content, quiz questions or answers;
- alter, forge or misrepresent a certificate, enrollment letter, progress report or verification result;
- try to access other people's data, probe or overload our systems, or bypass security, rate limits or bot checks;
- submit unlawful content or use the service for anything unlawful.
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account, withhold or revoke your certificate, and confirm the facts to any court or agency that asks. In that case you are not entitled to a refund, except where the law requires one. Before we act, we will tell you what we found and give you a chance to explain, unless the law or an ongoing investigation prevents it.
9. Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown in US dollars on our website and at checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe, using the payment methods offered on the checkout page (such as cards, Apple Pay or Google Pay, and where offered, pay-later services). The contract is formed when your payment is confirmed; we then give you access and email your enrollment letter.
Prices include all taxes we are required to charge. If sales tax applies in your state, it will be shown at checkout before you pay. Because our business is based in Poland, your bank or card issuer may charge a foreign transaction fee. That fee is set by your bank, not by us, and we cannot refund it.
You will receive a receipt by email. We may change prices at any time, but a price change never affects a course you have already bought.
10. Refunds, switching courses and cancellation
Refund Guarantee
If your court, judge, probation officer or other referring agency does not accept your Good Standing Courses certificate, we refund 100% of the course fee you paid. To claim it:
- Get the rejection in writing: an email or letter from the court, officer or agency saying they will not accept the certificate.
- Send it to support@goodstandingcourses.com within 60 days of finishing the course, with the official's name and contact details (email or phone). You do not need to send your case number; black it out if it appears.
- We refund to your original payment method within 5 business days of confirming. Your bank may take another 5–10 business days to show it.
The guarantee applies when the course type and number of hours match what your order or referral asked for, you completed the course and received the certificate, and the rejection is about our course or certificate. It does not cover: a different course type or fewer hours than your order required; rejections for reasons unrelated to our course (for example, a missed court deadline); programs we do not sell (Batterer Intervention Programs, domestic violence programs, DUI/DWI programs, Texas MIP/AEPM courses, or other courses that must come from a state-certified list); or optional add-ons such as a mailed paper copy once shipped. We may contact the official to confirm the rejection. When we refund, the certificate is revoked. Full details: Refund Guarantee.
Switching to a different course
Within 7 days of purchase, before you start the first lesson, you can switch to a different number of hours or to the other course. If the new course costs more, you pay the difference. If it costs less, we refund the difference.
Change of mind
If you change your mind, you can cancel for a full refund within 7 days of purchase, as long as you have not started the first lesson. Email support from your account email. Once you start the first lesson, refunds are available only under the Refund Guarantee, section 10 "If something goes wrong" below, or where the law requires.
If something goes wrong
If a technical problem on our side prevents you from completing a course and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund the course fee, or the part of it that matches what you could not use.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before disputing a payment with your bank. We usually resolve problems faster. While a payment dispute is open, we may suspend access and the certificate's verification.
11. EU/EEA consumers: right of withdrawal
This section applies only if you are a consumer living in the European Union or the European Economic Area. If you live in the United States, section 10 applies instead.
You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason. To withdraw, send us a clear statement (for example, an email to support@goodstandingcourses.com) before the 14 days end. You may use the model form below, but you do not have to. We will refund all payments within 14 days of receiving your statement, using your original payment method, at no cost to you.
Losing the right of withdrawal. A course is digital content provided online. At checkout you ask us to give you access immediately and confirm that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once you start the course. You lose the right of withdrawal when you open the first lesson. Until then, you can withdraw within the 14 days for a full refund. We confirm your request and acknowledgment in your order confirmation email.
Model withdrawal form. To: Dzmitry Pliachko, Good Standing Courses, ul. Stanisława Drabika 63/19, 52-131 Wrocław, Poland, support@goodstandingcourses.com. I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following course: (course name), ordered on (date). Name: (your name). Email used for the order: (email). Date: (date).
12. Complaints about the service
If the course, a document or the timer does not work as described, email support@goodstandingcourses.com with your account email, what happened and what you would like us to do. We respond to every complaint within 14 days. If you are a consumer, you also have the rights that consumer protection law gives you for digital content that does not conform to the contract, and these terms do not limit them.
13. Intellectual property
All course content, including text, audio, video, illustrations, quizzes and the design of our documents, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the course for your own learning while your access lasts. You may print or save your own documents and workbook. You may not copy, share, publish, resell or create derivative works from course content.
The name "Good Standing Courses" and our logo are our trademarks. Organizations whose public research we cite in lessons do not endorse our courses.
14. Disclaimers
We provide the course and website with reasonable skill and care, but we do not promise that the site will always be available or free of errors. Planned maintenance or technical problems may sometimes interrupt access.
We do not promise any particular result: not a court decision, not a change in your case, and not a change in your behavior. Acceptance of your certificate is decided by your court or agency (section 4). Nothing on our site or in our courses is legal, medical or mental health advice. See our Disclaimer.
To the extent the law allows, we make no other promises or warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some states do not allow these exclusions, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- Our total liability to you for all claims relating to a course or to these terms is limited to the amount you paid us for that course.
- We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential losses, such as a court's decision, a missed court deadline, fines, lost wages or lost opportunities, unless caused by our breach of these terms.
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet or power outages, or failures of third-party services.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Governing law and disputes
Let us try to fix it first. If you have a problem, email support@goodstandingcourses.com. Most problems are solved quickly. If not, please give us 30 days to try to resolve a formal complaint before going to court.
Governing law. These terms are governed by the law of Poland. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not take away the protection given to you by the mandatory consumer protection rules of the place where you live, including the laws of your US state.
Courts. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of the place where you live, including a small claims court in your US county, or in the courts of Wrocław, Poland. We will bring any claim against you only in the courts of the place where you live. We do not require arbitration, and nothing in these terms waives your right to join a class action where the law allows it.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add services or when the law changes. We will change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for changes that affect current students, email you at least 14 days before they take effect. The terms that applied when you bought a course continue to apply to that purchase, unless a change is required by law or is only in your favor.
18. General
- Electronic communications. You agree that we may send you service messages, receipts and notices by email, and that these meet any requirement for written communication.
- Assignment. You may not transfer your account or these terms to anyone else. We may transfer our rights and duties to a business that takes over our courses, and we will tell you if that happens; it will not reduce your rights.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version applies if they differ, unless the law requires otherwise.
- Whole agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund Guarantee and Disclaimer, are the whole agreement between you and us about the courses.
