Educational course, not therapy
Good Standing Courses offers self-paced online educational courses. They teach practical skills for managing anger, impulses and decisions.
Our courses are not therapy, counseling, treatment, diagnosis, or a clinical or psychological evaluation. Self-check questions in a lesson are learning tools, not assessments. Taking a course does not create a therapist–client, doctor–patient or any other professional relationship with us or with anyone who reviewed our materials. If you are struggling with your mental health, substance use or relationships, please talk to a licensed professional.
Court and agency acceptance
Our courses are court-accepted in most jurisdictions, but acceptance is determined by the court, probation officer or other agency that referred you. We do not decide it, and nobody else can promise it for them.
We do not claim that our courses are approved, certified, licensed or endorsed by any court, state, government agency or professional body. Before you buy, confirm with your court, officer or attorney that an online course of this type and length will meet your requirement. If your certificate is not accepted, our Refund Guarantee refunds the course fee under its terms.
Not a substitute for certified programs
Our courses are not, and cannot replace:
- Batterer Intervention Programs (BIP) or other domestic violence programs;
- DUI/DWI or other alcohol and drug education programs;
- Texas Minor in Possession (MIP) or alcohol awareness (AEPM) courses;
- state-listed parenting or co-parenting programs; or
- any program a court requires you to take from a state-certified or court-designated provider list.
If your order or paperwork names one of these, please contact your court or officer for an approved provider.
No affiliation with courts or government
Good Standing Courses is a private education business based in Poland. We are not affiliated with, operated by or acting on behalf of any court, judge, probation or parole department, prosecutor, police department, or any federal, state or local government agency. Our verification page lets the people you give your documents to confirm them; it is not a government record.
Not legal advice
Nothing on our website, in our courses or in our emails is legal advice, and we are not a law firm. Lessons sometimes mention court orders, such as no-contact or protective orders, only to remind you to follow them. Your attorney or probation officer is the right person to ask about what your order requires, your deadlines, or how a course will affect your case. Information about state requirements on our site is general and may be out of date; your court's instructions always come first.
Not medical, financial or other professional advice
Course content is general education. It is not medical, psychological, financial or employment advice. Examples in lessons are illustrations, not guidance for your situation. Where a lesson mentions workplace rights or deadlines, check the details with the relevant agency or an attorney.
Sources
Our lessons draw on public, research-based sources, including materials from SAMHSA, the American Psychological Association, the National Institute of Mental Health and the CDC. Citing these organizations does not mean they endorse our courses or are affiliated with us.
No guaranteed results
We cannot promise any particular outcome: not a change in your behavior, relationships or employment, and not any decision by a court, officer, employer or agency. What you get from a course depends on how you use it.
