  • Acceptance is decided by your court or officer — check with them first.

Right class? Start here

The 16-hour class is our complete anger management course. It covers every core skill, every real-life setting in the 12-hour class, and four lessons on lasting change: letting go of old grudges, telling shame from guilt, a daily mindfulness habit, and a values-based plan for what comes next. If your paperwork says 16 hours, this is the class.

What you get for $79

  • Enrollment letter (PDF) the minute you pay. Send it to your officer today, not after you finish.
  • 16 one-hour lessons, each with a short animated video explainer (with captions), illustrations, exercises and a quiz. Plain-English text that works on your phone or a computer.
  • 2–3 short exercises and a private journal prompt in every lesson. Your officer never sees what you write.
  • An honest timer. It counts active time only and logs every session on our server. Read fast? You get extra practice, not a clock to stare at.
  • A final test you can retake as many times as you need. It opens once your 16 hours are logged.
  • Certificate of completion (PDF) with your name, "Anger Management — 16 hours," dates, test score, a certificate ID and a QR code.
  • A public check page. Your officer enters the ID and your last name and sees the same hours and dates.
  • Progress report (PDF) you can download any time and send to your officer.

What 16 hours covers

  1. Understanding Anger: What It Is and What It Costs — What sits under anger (fear, shame, exhaustion), the three phases of an angry blow-up, and a plain count of what anger has cost you.
  2. Know Your Triggers and Warning Signs — The four early signals your body, thoughts, feelings and actions send before you lose it — and how to catch them at a 3, not a 9.
  3. Cool Down: The Anger Meter, Timeouts, and Relaxation — Rate your anger from 1 to 10, take a 4-step timeout (notice, say, leave, return), and practice 4-7-8 breathing.
  4. Hot Thoughts, Cool Thoughts: Changing the Way You Think — The A-B-C-D model: the thought between what happened and how you reacted, and how to argue back with it.
  5. Say It Right: Assertive Communication — Passive, aggressive, passive-aggressive or assertive — and how to build an I-statement that gets heard.
  6. Solving Conflicts Without Fighting — A 5-step way to solve a problem with someone, plus ground rules for a fair argument.
  7. Stress, Sleep, Substances, and Anger — How stress, short sleep, hunger and alcohol fill the glass until one small thing spills it over.
  8. Taking Responsibility and Building Your Anger Control Plan — Your triggers, warning signs, cool-down skills and support people, written into one plan you keep.
  9. Anger at Home: Partners, Family, and Parenting — Patterns you learned growing up, and what your kids learn by watching you.
  10. Anger at Work and in Public — The boss, the customer, the line at the store: where an argument escalates and where you can break the chain.
  11. Road Rage and Online Conflict — Why the other driver or commenter feels faceless, and the pause-don't-reply rule.
  12. Empathy and Emotional Intelligence — One situation seen through both people's eyes, and naming emotions more precisely than "mad".
  13. Resentment, Forgiveness, and Letting Go — Why old grudges keep you angry, and why forgiving is not the same as approving.
  14. Shame, Guilt, and Your Past — "I am bad" versus "I did something bad" — and why the difference changes what you do next.
  15. Mindfulness and Daily Self-Care — A 60-second STOP practice and a short body scan you can use anywhere.
  16. Values, Goals, and Staying on Track — Your values, one SMART goal, and the early warning signs that you are slipping.

Every lesson ends with a 5-question quiz (pass with 80%, retake as often as you like). The final test is 40 questions; you pass with 75% (30 correct).

We never ask for your case number

Courts often want your case number, court name or date of birth on the certificate. You type those into your own copy of the PDF, in your browser. They are never sent to us and never stored. We don't ask what happened, and we don't want to know.

If your court says no, you get your money back

If your court, judge or probation officer doesn't accept your 16-hour certificate, we refund 100% of the course fee. Email us the written rejection and the official's contact details within 60 days of finishing. The class must match the course type and hours in your order.

Frequently asked questions

How long does the 16-hour class actually take?

16 hours of logged learning time — the timer counts only the time you are actively reading, watching or listening to the lesson video, or doing exercises. Do it in one sitting or spread it over several days. You can stop after any screen and pick up where you left off.

Can I finish the 16-hour class in one day?

Yes, if you put in 16 hours of active study that day. The timer pauses when you're inactive for a few minutes, so leaving the tab open doesn't count.

When do I get my enrollment letter?

The minute your payment goes through. It's a PDF in your email and your dashboard, ready to send to your officer.

Will my court accept this class?

Our classes are court-accepted in most jurisdictions, but the decision belongs to your court or officer. Ask them before you buy. If they don't accept your certificate, you get a full refund.

Is 16 hours the longest class you offer?

For now, yes. 24- and 52-hour versions are in production. If your order says more than 16 hours, don't buy the 16-hour class to cover part of it without asking your officer first.

Is this therapy?

No. It's an educational course that teaches skills. It's not therapy, counseling or a clinical evaluation. If you are in crisis, call or text 988.
